The problem
An immigration consultant who needed to be found by people searching for visa help in New Zealand.
How I helped
A page for every service, guides explaining the NZ visa process, and a blog they publish to for ongoing reach.
Deliverables
- A page for every visa service
- Guides explaining the NZ visa process
- A blog they publish to themselves
- Enquiry form on every service page
The outcome
Enquiries now come from people who found them on Google and already understand the service.
Common questions
Why does every service need its own page?
Because people search for their exact situation. Someone on a post-study work visa looking at residence does not search for "immigration adviser" — they search for the specific pathway they are on. One page per visa type lets each of those searches find a page written about precisely that, which a combined services page can never do.
Is writing guides worth the time for a professional services firm?
Yes, for two reasons. Guides bring in people who are still researching rather than ready to hire, which is the largest part of the market. And they pre-qualify the enquiry — someone who has read how the process works arrives understanding the service, so the first call starts much further along.
Can I publish to the blog myself without a developer?
That was a requirement here. Immigration rules change constantly, and an adviser who has to email someone to publish an update will stop publishing. Posts are written and published from a simple editor, so a rule change can be online the same day it is announced.
How long before a professional services site brings in enquiries?
Realistically three to six months for search traffic to build, and longer for competitive terms. Guides tend to gain traction sooner than service pages because there is less competition for a specific question than for a broad commercial term. Anyone promising results in weeks on a new site is not being straight with you.
